The color is true to what is shown on the site…Lilac not Pink. It is a perfect carrier and my two chihuahuas love it. I use it to carry them around, I use it to carry them in the car and, if I ever board a plane again, I’ll use it then.

This animal carrier is simply awesome. It is so well made and looks unlike any I have seen before. It is sporty and so cute. I would buy another. I love the orange one!! If you are a traveler and take your furkid along then you need one of these!!

Bag seems to run small, I ordered a size Small based on the dimensions that are required by the airline service and of my dog (which is only 10 pounds) and he could not fit inside this bag. The construction is great but it does not seem to be a comfortable bag for a dog, especially for the price they are asking. I returned it and bought a Sherpa bag.

I bought this for my 4 month old kitten that I brought with me when I moved from CA to PA. When I first got it I let my cat play around in it with it unzipped to get used to it. She even took a few naps in it. My cat had never been taken anywhere before, except a 2 minute drive when I bought a harness, so I was a bit worried.

She did great! She made a lot of noise in the car on the way to the airport, but it was easy to rub my hand on the side mesh part to help calm her. At the airport they make you take the cat out and send the carrier through the x-ray machine. So we put the harness on in the car before we went in. It was easy to leave the leash out of the top zipper and I tied it to one of the extra rings for the strap. After going through security a worker commented that it was the first cat she had ever seen that went into the carrier willingly. During the flight I was able to keep my foot near the mesh on the side (which was facing me because it doesn’t fit under the seat otherwise) to keep her calm. Luckily there wasn’t anyone in the middle seat, but the woman sitting in the aisle seat said that she didn’t even know I had a cat with me until we landed and I put the carrier on the seat and let my kitten stick her head out for a moment. That was the best thing I could have heard!

My cat hasn’t played in it and hasn’t shown an interest in the carrier at all since we arrived, but I’m sure she’ll be ok in it on the way to the vet soon. It is a lot less scary and far more discrete than the average hard plastic carrier. I’m not someone who buys expensive toys or designer bags for my pet, so I was hesitant to pay $75, but to get one from Jet Blue would have been $60 anyway. The cushions come out easily and are easy to clean. I loved having the option of using the strap two different ways plus the handles were useful. My cat did scratch at the mesh a little, but with two layers I wasn’t worried about her tearing it. Overall I’m very pleased and won’t be dreading having to travel with my cat.

I purchased this carrier for my 2lb yorkie puppy for car trips and future airline travel. (I wanted him to be familiar with the carrier as young as possible.) I’m incredibly impressed with the materials and construction of this carrier. It is sturdy and has all the bells and whistles I could hope for. It’s comfortable to carry and my dog doesn’t mind hanging out in it. It would be nice if it were taller but I understand due to airline restrictions that’s not possible, the fact the bag can be carried on its side for more height is very nice but I haven’t used that feature yet.

I use the Teafco Argo Airline Approved Aero Pet Carrier to haul my dead, stuffed, hamster when I fly. Using this product, I am allowed to transport my beloved hamster legally without any problems. I possess licensed taxidermist documents and I just board the plane.

I LOVE THIS BAG!! It’s stylish and appears to be high quality!!

However, I got to the airport and the agent I was dealed with at the USAir counter, would not allow me thru. In order to get on my flight I had to purchase another new bag from one of the shops in the Orlando Airport. It was a huge ordeal, not cheap and I almost missed my flight.

I still believe there is nothing wrong with this bag and no reason he should not have let me thru!!! But I returned the bag because I didn’t need two… :( This one was much nicer than the one I ended up with and it was cheaper!! (plus they actually started to give me a hard time for carrying two bags on the plane. But I think the girl saw the look on my face and thought better of it.) What a nightmare!!

My final thought is that it’s one of the better quality bags out there and that particular agent was having a bad day and didn’t know what he was talking about… Their rules are a matter of interpretation and if you get someone that interpretates them incorrectly, you are the one that suffers.

    GOOD LUCK!!

It is a very sturdy and good looking bag. One way mesh is nice for cats, but I am not sure how the ventilation will be. I am extreamly disappointed in this item. I ordered and paid a great deal of money for a “NEW” carrier. As soon as I got it open, cat/dog treats fell out, there was animal hair all over the inside. I needed this bag to transport a cat, not a kitten over seas and was mortified about how small it was. Now, I am stuck with it, and still have 3 weeks to find one that fits for my adult cat.

I agonized over this purchase for my very spastic and neurotic cat’s impending cross-country travel plans. This product appears very sturdy, well-made and possibly resistant to an animal’s fevered attempts to claw its way out. It is attractive, compact and utterly charming, though I have shoes larger than it.

My cat and I are due to fly on Air Tran in about a month, and their dimensions for animal carriers are ridiculously tiny 8.5 inches high, by 12 inches wide, by 17 inches long. I do not usually bring my cat on board with me since the constant and unpredictable sounds, motion and general hubbub only add to his anxiety. In fact, on one flight from NY to CA he ate his way out of his lovely, expensive, luxury pet carrier – it took him an hour and the removal of 8 of his own nails, then pop came his head and legs and we spent the rest of the flight in the bathroom! Not an experience to repeat.

I was forced to purchase a Sherpa soft carrier for him on another flight that he did not destroy and expected to use that one again on our next travels. However, Air Tran does not allow pets as checked baggage, and although they do allow in-cabin privileges for pets, their dimensions are far smaller than my nearly new Sherpa bag.

I purchased this one to conform to the size, and although it is a bit expensive, it seems to be a high quality item. I have read reviews of several carry on soft pet carriers, and this one seems the most positive. I only hope that my cat doesn’t channel his inner Gozilla, and that he remains calm enough in such a tight space for our 6 hour flight. He does fit, he’s 8 lbs but very tall. I’ve been trying to acclimate him by leaving it out and tempting him with yummy treats inside it. Wish us luck!

I’ll add to this review after our journey in August.

I got this for my 12 week old Papillon puppy (toy breed) to fly internationally with us (15 hours). She was scared to death…puked and wet a few times.(Thank goodness for absorbant potty pads.) This carrier was easy to clean and provided wonderful protection for her to rest. I liked the opening in the top for the times I needed to check on her. The strap was comfortable/adjustable so my hands were free to drag my bags through customs. It slid under the seat with ease and the “small zip pocket” was big enough for a few tiny raw hide chew bones to keep her busy (this area needs to be bigger). I will use this carrier again. It is an investment piece for a traveling lifestyle.

This is a very well made product. However, I have a cat and I thought the small would work but it was too small. Their version of small fits like a toy dog, puppy or kitten but not a small pet.

Our Havanese has managed to claw through every carrier we’ve ever bought within minutes. We carried duct tape with us on the airplane just to hold the carrier together long enough for one flight. In frustration, I dropped $125 on this carrier, and amazingly enough, it held beautifully!

However, the carrier has some issues. Although it is soft, it’s firmer than other soft carriers, and it really didn’t fit under the seat in front of us. We were actually lucky that the flight attendents didn’t say anything. In addition, and a bit more worrisome, I truly do not believe that the carrier has enough ventilation. Our dog was dripping with sweat when we took him out of the carrier and he was panting so har in the carrier that the whole bag was shaking. You’ll notice that there is very little netting on the bag, and where there is, it’s a double layer and it’s so fine (that’s why the dog couldn’t claw out) that it’s really questionable as to how much air gets through it.

This product is well-designed in every way except for the depth. There isn’t enough head room for my cat. I have to coax her in with a treat and she pretty much has to squeeze in through the small opening. Once she is in there it is fine but it would be too cramped for long trips.

I bought this carrier a couple months ago because I need to move from West to East coast and both me and cat loves it. First of all, it’s airline approved. Second, it fits perfectly under the seat. Third, it’s really easy for me to carry, it’s just like a travel bag and it has little pockets on the side for me to put treats and catnip. Fourth, it’s small enough but surprisingly roomy for my cat to feel secure, safe and comfortable while she’s on the plane and she’s able to see through the meshes to know that I’m right next to her. She was calm and quiet throughout the trip. Last but not least, Orange looks soo cool!! Everyone, including my vet, thought it was the coolest pet carrier ever. I totally recommend to anyone who needs an upgrade or a pet carrier for local or travel on plane.

nice, sturdy but a bit on the small side
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Pros: Well made, sturdy, and sustains impact well while protecting the pet.

couple access areas from side or top with zippers and a side pocket for whatever.

cons: the leak proof isn’t leak proof. A bit small even for a small Pet. no room to move in it even to just readjust herself. Entry from the side is too small and narrow, it was easier to put the cat in from the top.

Overall I like it and still happy with the purchase. I do wish there was more wiggle room, considering the height and width were much less than what the airline required.

Good lookin’ and functional pet carrier!

I purchased this for our 16 year old, 9 lbs. cat to travel in cabin from JFK to LAX (6 hour flight). It was the perfect solution! Things I liked about the carrier:

-Private: the mesh on the sides is done in such a way that others can’t really see the animal inside. Our 16 year old isn’t a big fan of people outside of the family and because of the design of this bag no one knew there was a cat traveling inside.

-Outside pocket: Enough room for a lease and anything else small you may need.

-Overall Design: The design is great – modern and doesn’t scream “I AM TRAVELING WITH A PET”. Later on in our trip (we moved to China and had to switch to hardsided carrier appropriate for cargo travel) we used it as a dirty clothes carrier – nice as a duffle bag too!

Things I wished were included with the carrier:

-Handles like on a duffle: The bag comes complete with the sholder strap and two handles, but the handles must be used with two hands. It would have been easier to have handles like a duffle bag that could be grabbed with one hand.

Amazon has a great price (especially on the orange one) and with Amazon Prime shipping it came quick – good thing because we waited until the last minute to purchase.

With the durable structural design, it protects the pets from injured by squeezing or bumping into the carrier. We have never seen pet carriers with heavy duty hooks & comfortable straps. This carrier is highly recommended to those heavy air travelers with pets. Durable nylon fabric is easy to clean. Top quality soft pet carrier we have ever seen and used. We own 2 Vet in PA, and this product was first introduced by our client. We bought 2 large and 1 small for our staffs in the clinic and traveled with ferrets, rabbits, cats and dogs to NY, IL, and TX without any problem. Large top opening for loading is the best way for this carrier. Multi-windows give ventilation from different directions unlike other pet carriers. Double layer mesh windows prevent nails hook on holes of mesh, yet the air floatation is never an issue. Suggestions to new pet owners from us: Make sure the mesh windows are allowing enough ventilation through carriers from different directions. It is very important because some flight attendants will ask you to keep your pets inside the carrier all time during the flight. We used to recommend Sherpa to our visitors, but not any more after we used ARGO carriers. Size issues with other carriers: It will not meeting airline requirements if the carrier is larger. If you get a larger carrier and trying to squeeze into the limited space under the seat, you will injure the pet. Common sense: The room will become smaller than a carrier fits perfectly underneath the seat without squeezing. Conclusion: We give this carrier 5+ stars and 2 paws up to ARGO Aero-Pet Airline Pet Carriers!

    Excellent airline carrier
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We purchased this carrier in anticipation of flying with our cat for a long trip over the holidays. Like many other people on this and other sites, we fretted about the airline’s size and weight requirements, since this carrier was an inch longer than the required size and with the cat, very close to the 20lb weight requirement for US Airways. We should not have worried as no one measured anything. It fit fine under the seat, even on a pretty small plane (Canadair Regional Jet). The inch long “violation” means it extends into your footspace an inch more than it should – worth it for the animal’s comfort, since I wasn’t going to be comfortable even if I did have that inch.

This carrier is well designed on a number of levels. Most importantly, the shoulder strap attaches to the carrier in two conformations so you can carry it in the pictured way (wide and low) or on its side (tall and narrow). Tall and narrow was much more maneuverable in the airport and helped us finesse the “stand up and turn around” requirement. It’s very sturdy, particularly the mesh windows which appear to have a kind of wire mesh behind the black netting, which I presume makes it more claw-resistant. The two entryways (top and side) were convenient for getting the cat out for security screening, since she really didn’t want to leave this carrier. I think that’s partially because it’s fairly snug in there (good for cats, who like to feel protected, but not for dogs, who need more space) and partially because we familiarized her with the carrier, with treats afterwards, for a few weeks beforehand. The side pocket is perfect for her payment certificate, vet certificate, and a small bag of treats, but nothing larger.

In short, this carrier is spendy, but it’s a Cadillac. It was such a good experience that I will probably travel with her again the next time I go to a cat friendly location.

    Perfect for ferrets
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Was able to keep two ferrets in the cage during a international flight. At times I would open up the top to allow some additional venting in while they were sleeping, I felt that they were more comfortable in this than a plastic or wire cage. Both ferrets were under three pounds, if they were larger it would not have worked out so well. It was really easy to clean as well.

Used this to transport my cat from one city to another on a plane. It was easy to carry. Its one way screen made my pet feel safe and it fit perfectly under the seat in front for take off.

Very discreet so that no one knew we had a pet in the bag except the flight attendants and the airport authorities.

I do wish it allowed us to open up the top and still keep my pet contained. A double cover one with a screen and one solid would be nice.

    Great looking. Great quality!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Very pleased with this product and the high quality of the fabric, straps, zippers, etc. The tinted mesh doors helps encourage pup to sleep during flight and is more durable than most mesh liners so that it cannot be easily snagged or torn. It meets the airline measurements and easily fit under seat.

This carrier is among the most expensive, but you get what you pay for. It’s large enough for my 15 pound cat, comfortable to carry through the airport, and didn’t fall apart. It allows privacy for your pet, as the cat can see out the mesh panels, but passers by can’t see in. All told, I would reccomend this product to anyone, especially if their pet is larger or more active.

My mom rescued an abandoned Italian Greyhound on Monday. I showed up for a visit on Tuesday. By Wednesday I was OWNED. This arrived Friday night for our 8 a.m. trip to Seattle. I know that you should give your pet time to get used to it…that would have been NICE, but she was as happy as you could expect. It’s a superbly durable case, easy to transport through the airport. It fits nicely under the seat. I couldn’t be more pleased to have shelled out the money for both the case and the overnight delivery.

I purchased this carrier when I moved from Michigan to California to transport my 6 lb. cat and it worked perfectly. It fits the airline size requirements, has side and top accessibility, good ventilation, is easy to carry and my pet had ample space to reposition herself during her travels. I purchased the carrier in petal pink and an airline security officer was so taken by its appearance that she jokingly asked if I was transporting a cake. I recommend this product to anyone needing to transport a small pet across the country or across town.

I got it in the small size and color orange. I use it to travel from Houston to Fort lauderdale. It worked great, even my dog is about 10″ long and 14″ tall, it is big enough for her to turn around…also keep in mind that the bag can be used flat or tall, so i moved it slowly for her to reposition while the bag was closed so she can stand up and stretch the legs completely during the flight. I used it everytime i go out with her…she sits inside while riding in the car (with the zipperopen). The color is not exact as shown, it is a little bit more dark (less bright).
